My name is Mark Markiewicz. I live in Clifton Park. My email is markiewicz518@gmail.com phone 772-7594
I am very excited to be part of this movement. I believe change is needed and until recently didn't see how it could be brought about. I think this movement is the best opportunity to bring about change.
I joined this group because I strongly believe in order for the movement to succeed it should remain inclusive and OPEN to all, remain leaderless and operate by consensus of the group. No one can predict what our group will ultimately become or what actions we will take and no one's personal agenda or politics should drive this group. I hope to work with this group and the GA to craft a statement reflecting these ideas.

My suggestion is to try getting everyone willing to move to albany and help organize there. Im willing to stay and camp out and do what ever i can to help in Albany or Saratoga. Iv been working with Josh Kammerer and alot of others in a group called voice of the occupation. There trying to compile contact information linked to OWS and other occupy locations around the country and around the globe in efforts to organize everything. Until that happens i think efforts to get supply's is important at this point in time but that just me. what this movement means to me: With everything said down below for know until things are fixed, i wanna help and do what i can. Have some kind of purpose. cnn's trying to figure out what the protest stands for and trying to label it republican or democrat beliefs. They still don't understand. Personally for me this movement is about government systems of this planet and and media and how corrupted they have become. I understand its ok to have money and i'm sure a good junk of wealthy people have earned their wealth but when the wealthy make bad decisions, its not up to tax payers to "bail" them out. No question's asked, this is not up for debate. Thats what they get got use a concept called fractional reserved banking. A more important issue is energy and the well being of humanity on this planet. If we do not get our energy consumption under control as a human species, we will not have the energy/resources to produce any kind of a better social/physical/materialistic lifestyle we all enjoy and everything we are protesting for wont even be an option. Oil is everything, oil produces alternative fuels. In most cases it takes more oil to construct a new system of producing a new source of energy then we get from it. I'm talking about a concept called peak oil and net energy. Everything you have on right now is made from oil, the phone or ipod your on. Computers, cars, houses, food. It all needs oil. Reports iv read dated back to late70's 80's and 90's state we have reached peak or half the available resource of fossil fuels on this planet. Polar ice cape wouldn't come close to giving us a enough oil, just enough to die slower. Reason why global worming isn't that important to the leaders of the world, the ice has to melt so we can get to the oil. Same goes for saudi arabia not enough oil, hens the wars in the middle east. The global economy has been declining for some time now. Energy and economics go hand in hand. Just a thought. This topic needs to be addressed, other wise this movement is for nothing. Information: about what im talking about. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peak_oil Michael Ruppert someone iv followed for a while and have trust in. Concepts to understand: fiat currency and fractional reserved banking www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFfqixur9eIwww.youtube.com/watch?v=Fn4UjHp20OM&feature=relatedSomeone online shared this link with me, i dont know this person but he talks about the same things. David Icke www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNGRdwE-f9ohope to hear from someone

Thanks for the thougts Bryan. I hope you can be there Saturday to help us grow in Saratoga. We need to GROW EVERYWHERE and support each other however we can. My motto is "If we build it they will come" We need a strong foundation (masses of people who buy into the process and participate) to build the movement on. Once we have that strong foundation no one can predict how the group will evolve and what actions it will take. THIS IS THE BEAUTY OF THE MOVEMENT TO ME! I want to craft a mission statement for the group to consider that is as broad as possible and places an emphasis on process. We had 30 people at our 1st meeting and there were 30 reasons people came. All grievances and concerned could be distilled and expressed in on sentence: The system is broken and change is needed. We can debate what change is needed later but if we put to much in a mission statement it will necessarily turn some people off. Other important points I would like to see in a mission statement include a pledge to remain leaderless, operate by consensus and remain inclusive and open to all. By the way I am also on the facilitation WG, we are tasked with organizing and facilitating the GA meeting. We are looking for help. If you would like to help plan organize and run our GA please contact me at outreachsaratoga@gmail.com or call me 772-7594. I am trying to get people to meet Fri at Occupy Albany to plan our Sat Saratoga meeting. We will also meet Sat AM before our GA probably around 10AM. Any help would be appreciated. Mark

Tale of Two Cities
Charles Dickens
Chapter 1
IT WAS the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us...
